  • Lots of unexpected twists to keep you on your toes

I loved the story, it was so full of twists and turns I couldn’t keep up which is a great! I often find I know what’s going to happen in a story, which I don’t mind, but it’s nice to be surprised sometimes! A fantastic story and I wish there was more to come but there’s a fairly conclusive end really! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • A gripping story

Reviewed by Cayla-Paige Nortje for Readers' Favorite The Forget-Me Knot by Denise Liebig follows the story of Natalie Lane, a woman who turned to psychology to help those around her the way she wished someone had helped her through the loss of her father when she was just a teenager. So when a stranger turns up in her office late one evening, proclaiming to be a ghost, her reasoning is put to the test to debunk the idea that ghosts exist and one is choosing to visit her. Before she knows it, Natalie finds herself taking a sabbatical which leads her to England where, unbeknownst to her, a whole host of discoveries and revelations await. Between a ghost who proclaims his undying love and a barkeep who knows more than he lets on, Natalie must decide who she can and can’t trust, and whose set of facts are to be believed. I read The Forget-Me Knot in under three days, that’s how gripping I found this story to be from the very get-go. Denise Liebig has an interesting approach to a ghost that one wouldn’t expect but which I really enjoyed and felt brought a special quality to the story. The story's constant twists and discoveries can’t help but keep your attention, so much so that in the early hours of the morning you find yourself still reading – holding out for a little longer just to see what may happen on the next page. The storyline and plot are original and compelling with a fast-paced speed to it. I believe that this story holds a message: no matter how different we are, we are all longing for someone to love us and we are all connected in some way or form and no amount of time can change that.
