  • Exciting and Fun

As always this was a quick, fun read and worth every penny I paid. I like the smart characters, I love the humour, but after three novels, I'm starting to find the series a bit formulaic. Viewpoint of the criminal, viewpoint of Carter Ross' investigation, back and forth until finally Ross gets up close to the killer (not realizing that who the killer is or the great danger that he's put himself into) until the last minute. In the Eyes of the Innocent, Ross negotiates with the killer from behind bullet proof glass, so I thought over time he would get smarter and more pro-active, and maybe confront the killer with some cops at his back. While I really enjoyed this one. I think I need to read one of Parks' other, non-Carter Ross, books for a change of pace.

    Thanks for your feedback!
