  • The Governess Gambit

I really loved this book. Your introduced to the family of Bean Wynchester. It lets you look inside this wonderful adopted family and see how they are set out to help other people, like they were helped themselves. You’ll feel all the emotions they felt. Can’t wait to read the series.

  • A MUST READ - You will not be disappointed

This is an exciting adventurous story that had me on the edge of my seat most of the time. The Wynchester family is an unusual family trained by their patriarch to rescue others that the law could not reach, predominately children in dire situations. Each child had their own special extraordinary gifts. Together they could move mountains and they did. There is a piece of the story that I came to that made me cry. It has been a while since reading something moved me to tears but this story did. In the end the group completed their mission and saved countless number of children from the grips of an unscrupulous school for girls. This is a must read. If I could give it ten stars I would. I cannot wait to read the next installment of this series "The Duke Heist". I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • An action packed new series

The prologue to a new series by a well-loved author, The Governess Gambit is well written and entertaining with the Wynchester family fighting for the rights of young girls. The plot is fast-paced and sad in parts, and although it ends on a cliff-hanger, it does lead into the next installment of this adventure. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

  • 6 orphans make the world a better place.

I used to read loads of historical romance. But lately got a bit tired of them. I needed this book for a challenge, so decided to give it a try. It reminded me right away why I love Erica Ridley's books so much! They are different. Just like the main characters of this new series. Very colourful siblings trying to make the world a better place. I look forward to the other books in this series!

  • Great Start

This is a quick interesting story that introduces the Wild Wynchesters, six orphans adopted by Baron Vanderbean, Bean to the siblings, who become problem solvers and champions of the underprivileged. Each of the siblings has a special skill that is put to use to solve these and other problems. In this prequel, the siblings have two challenges, exposing a horribly run school for girls and retrieving a special painting stolen from the family by a disreputable duke. When Bean becomes ill (I warn you, you will need a tissue), Chloe steps in as leader of the group. Will the Wynchesters succeed in rescuing the girls from the cruel Miss Spranklin’s school? Will they be able to convince either of the dukes to return the painting? I really enjoyed this story and look forward to the series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
