  • Romance to put several smiles on your face

This was a fun read! The heroine was fresh, not your usual damsel, but a business woman with quirky friends and a plan for her future. The hero was interesting because of his unusual hobby and completely hilarious two wards. I’m not even one who usually likes kids in romances, but these two were a hoot! Happy reading all around!

  • Fun, Lighthearted Family

This book was a fun, light-hearted romp through Regency England. I liked that the main characters were not your typical hero and heroine and their antics combined with the chaos of the girls was a breath of fresh air in the Regency Romance genre.

  • A nice governess book

Tessa Dare writes the most amazing stories and I love them all.

  • One Rake and Two Little Ladies

Fantastic! Tremendous! Loved it! Perfect follow-up to The Duchess Dare. Alexandra is an unusual character. I loved her bravery and her ingenuity. Chase almost seems irredeemable at first. And second. And third. He's not a quick study, lol. His young wards, 10 year old Rosamund and 7 year old Daisy, on the other hand, are quite sharp. Probably among the most fleshed out children characters I've read in a while. Can't wait to read more of this series!

  • A fun read

This is an absorbing and entertaining historical romance. The second book in the Girl Meets Duke series met and exceeded my expectation of an enjoyable read. Dare has done an exceptional job of developing her characters and I loved her portrayal of the two children Rosamund and Daisy. There is humour in the novel and the romance is slow burning and hot. Who could fail to fall in love with a man considered a rake who would deliver a eulogy for a “dead” doll each and every day to help his two charges? A fun, fast and delightful read.
