Review of the book The Grave Truth

I have read most of the books in this series over the last few years. I have enjoyed them all! Great to be meeting up with the same main characters in each of the books including this book which is sixth in the series. This book, “The Grave Truth” added a new character, Verity’s father! A little more info was given about her parents and their marriage breakup. Things with her father are tense in the beginning and the reader will find out why… I also want to mention that this book could be a standalone mystery if you have not read any of the other ones before. There’s enough information given throughout that you don’t feel lost. I found the story engaging as well as interesting with the mystery. There is a missing professor that her mother worked for as a student when she was studying to be an archaeologist. There is the absent father who shows up on Verity’s doorstep. There’s something hidden at Verity’s house that her father wants very much! So many little clues that slowly unravel as Verity gets to the truth. I enjoyed the journey while Verity was figuring it all out! A bit of excitement at the end and things did not end up quite the way I thought they would! The author is fun to read as she draws you into the story and keeps you guessing until the very end! I look forward to the next book in this series! I did receive an advance readers copy and I’m happy to provide a review that is of my own opinion.

    An enjoyable "Who Dunnit" story

Another great instalment in the Leafy Hollow series. Ricky is one of my favourite Cosy Authors and doesn't disappoint with her newest book. As always there are a number of possible suspects to keep you guessing and twists and turns to keep you interested.

Verity Hawkes’ father has returned to Leafy Hollow

After being estranged for 20 years, Verity Hawkes’ father has returned to Leafy Hollow to ask a favor. This story is filled with emotions for all involved. Verity is torn between wanting her father back in her life and the great hurt he caused her when he left her at 8 without an explanation. Will she discover why he left without saying good-bye? This story opens a page from the past for all involved. The truth will all come to light when they discover a tie no one suspected. Great suspense, aggravation and emotional turmoil. Great read!

    Great CoZy

Verity Hawkes' life is going well, until her father shows up, with some scandalous news that threaten to tarnish the memory of her deceased, and beloved, mother. So she starts looking into an old cold case and there is a murder, which she becomes the prime suspect. Lots of twists, turns and on the edge of your seat reading. If you like a good mystery this is a must read.
