    Western Romantic Redemption

This is the first chance I have had to read a book by Ms. Dawson, and it sure won't be my last. Her writing style, and ability to delve into the deepest thoughts of the protagonists, is fantastic. In this writing she tells the story of a free thinking young woman of the early west, who is very much a forward thinking feminest who wants to be recognized as an equal to the men of her time. That particular sentiment is not well accepted in those times and the townsfolk look down on her and even her brothers are not supportive. The brothers are very old fashioned and believe in, and administer, corporal punishment in their attempts to bring Jeannie more into line. When she first gets herself into trouble with the infamous Mullins gang, her salvation comes in the form of a widely known gunslinger of less than stellar repute. Danny too is somewhat of a traditionalist, and soon takes Jeannie in hand. How their personal relationship, and his relationship with her brothers and the townsfolk, develops is the foundation of the story, with the action scenes centering around their interactions with the Mullins gang. The final climactic scene will very much remind you of the Magnificent Seven, but in this case it is the Magnificent 1. All in all, a very good western story with spankings and explicit sex scenes that fit right in and add to the story rather than "being" the story. I give this a 5-Star rating and highly recommend it. I received this book as an advance revew copy from the publisher.
