    Good

Loved the book, the way it went from the war years to present day. It's amazing what those women did during war time

    Not that great.

I really expected a stronger plot for this novel. It was long winded and not hard to find the conclusion in the middle part of the book. It read like a soap opera and the writing was basic and nondescriptive. Obviously, things were very difficult for women who got pregnant and wanted to terminate the fetus as abortion was very dangerous in the 1940’s compared to today’s methods and the pill had not been developed yet. This book is certainly not in the same caliber as”Lilac Girls” or “Code Name Verity”. A bit of a disappointing read.

World War II Historical Split Timeline

The Hidden Women by Kerry Barrett is Split Timeline World War II Historical and Modern Fiction. The timelines in the story are well blended and everyone’s story is complete. I liked that the author wrote each character with age appropriate behavior. This is an interesting story of how the actions of others and our reactions can affect our entire life. Very informative book about the women who served their country in World War II. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. I appreciate the opportunity and thank the author and publisher for allowing me to read, enjoy and review this book.
