    Not very relatable

Although many women can relate to the stresses of balancing a marriage, children and a demanding job, not many will be able to fully relate to the main character here. She is a woman who not only has the luxury of having many choices, she is completely self absorbed and dismissive of the people surrounding her. She unashamedly looks down her nose at people below her and lacks empathy. Again, not many working women I know have so many opportunities dropped right into her lap. She's so caught up in something relatively insignificant, in my opinion, that happened so many years ago - a short fling of her own making that she portrays as life altering and highly significant. I can't understand how her husband and best friend could actually tolerate her. Again she has everything any working woman would want - a loving husband, friends, family, healthy children and a prestigious high paying job with many assistants working for her. The only interesting and fun thing about the book was the little surprise at the end.

    The Hole In the Middle

A quick light read, amusing with a touch of sweetness.
