    Fast paced, exciting

I loved The Holtur Enigma by Cameron Wayne Smith. A novella that is well written, fast paced and grabs the reader from the start. People who like Matthew Riley's style of writing would enjoy this story. I also the amount of creatures and monsters, with new ones being added almost every chapter as it reminds me of Monster Hunter (a Nintendo 3DS game I love playing). The sketches of the creatures that come with the author's mailing list are a great compliment to The Holtur Enigma. I can't wait for the next Holtur story. The teaser chapter he put in the end of the book, got me excited!

    Great Read!

I first read this book on Wattpad. I immediately fell in love with the author's writing style and voice, loving how the plot pulled me in right away. The author does a great job of introducing the action right away, not making you wait for eighteen billion chapters. Another thing that the author did well was the descriptions. They're vivid, and yet Cameron doesn't have a description of a dead stick take up twelve pages. Overall, it's a fabulous read, and I can't wait to finish it. One thing that I would recommend, is to have better character development. Many of the characters were great, although the main character was a bit lacking and didn't seem to have much of a use. I too had this problem with one of my books, and I fixed it two ways. My problem was that my readers actually hated the main character, so, I made that character into the villain. Another thing I did was make the previously "filler characters" into actual main characters too. That way, the story didn't revolve around this character you never really liked. Again, great book. I'd absolutely recommend it for those who enjoy reading short stories, high fantasy, and anything awesome. Great job!
