    Fun read

Hilarious "meet cute". One of the best I've read so far, and the humor goes on throughout the story. It's fun, sexy, and completely entertaining. Single mom Ellie Sanders doesn't need or want a man in her life. She's perfectly fine without one. Really! Then why can't she get the super sexy marketing guy Tyler Hendrix out of her head. Sure their first meeting was definitely memorable but really she should be able to think of something else. Ty is just as certain that relationships aren't for him. Now a few nights of fun - yes please. The more time they spend together makes it hard to deny how well they fit. I highly recommend this one.

    4.5 STARS!

Tawna Fenske never ceases to surprise me. With how the story begins and my preconceived notions, this book had me thinking it was going to be a simple, sexy rom-com. Yet, as I began to read about Ty's internal struggle with his past along with a subsequent visit from aforementioned past, I was hit with all of the emotional "feels." My heart simply broke for him. Along with Ty's past comes Ellie's having to deal with her "dead-beat" ex-husband. Fenske wrote with such clarity and realism that I couldn't help but think she's writing from personal or a close second-hand perspective. Regardless, it made for compelling reading. In true-to-Fenske form, this is a romantic comedy with a dose of real life relationship insecurities that ends with a sigh and smile-inducing finale. Her stories are ALWAYS a pleasure. (I voluntarily read an advanced copy via Netgalley of The Hook Up. This review is my honest and unbiased opinion.)

    Funny and Sexy Romance

The Hook Up (First Impressions) by Tawna Fenske This is single mom Ellie Sanders and Tyler "Ty" Hendrix's story. This is a funny and sexy story of two people that find out they have more in common than you would think. Neither one want a relationship but would consider a hook up. Will this turn into more? A great read for the beach or when you just need a fun escape. Lots of funny and hot situations. FYI, contains mature content.  I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

    A Fun Sexy Romance

A pure laugh out sexy romance from the first page. Single mom, Ellie sells sex toys when she meets Ty, a marketing guy from First Impressions. Neither are into lasting relationships but a casual hook up would be perfect, or is it. Ellie's son, Henry is just a hoot. Adds so much to the story. Great characters with flaws but they work it out together. Great chemistry!! Still in love with Henry. I highly recommend this fun romance

    Loved

Loved this book! It started as a fairly predictable romance between two characters that had no interest in a relationship, but ended up hooking up. Then the author added such depth to them with the back story and their current struggles that I just couldn't put the book down. This novel has it all - lovable, relatable characters, and a great story. It had moments that made me smile and moments that brought a tear to my eye. If you enjoy the genre, snag this book and put it at the top of your TBR list. The author is on my must read authors' list.
