    Revelation

Having not read a lot of books dealing with gender identity issues, but being a big fan of gay (m/m) romance and erotica this was somewhat of an experiment into a slightly different genre for me and I have to say that I was definitely impressed, and a little bit addicted. The way R. A. Steffan deals with self image on a number of fronts, from Carivel and how (I'm going to say she) deals with a very male central society and dealing with her personal identity as both male and female, and how it is important for her to be female even though she considers herself to be a male, to Senovo's self hatred and even what Andoc deals with during book 3, don't worry, no spoilers, is absolutely fascinating. The world Steffan has written is well imagined and fluid and the emotional development of the characters is both realistic and engaging. I would definitely recommend this series to someone looking for something that is beyond the norm and both emotionally and mentally challenging (in a good way!). Happy reading :)

    Only a piece

I liked the character development. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this was more of a short story with more pieces.

    Horse master

The first 3 quarters of the book was very enjoyable, and I would probably have continued the series but the last quarter just went on and on and not in the same good taste of the beginning.

    REALLY GOOD

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Andoc, Carivel and Sonovo stole my heart. They all complemented each other even though their personalities and back stories were so different. Their relationship developed beautifully and I cant wait for more.

    LOVED IT

This book is a trail blazer. It shows how open, how understanding, and how compassionate relationships can be. I love how it talks about gender and sexual orientation. This is a one of a kind book.
