  • HOT ZONE

this book is about the scary and lethal virus, Ebola. It is written in a journlish style and is 100% truthful. The boook covers the Mamburg thing in Kitum Cave. It also tlks about Ebola Zaire, Ebola Suda, and Ebola Reston. Reston is very much like Ebola Zaire but it only effects monkeys. This was a thrilling and gross (in a good way) read. If you get grossed out by detailed descriptions of blood and medical stuff thus book probally isnt for you. But maybe it is! I really enjoyed it and I hope you will to (if you read it). Thanks for reading!!! :p

  • The Hot Zone

A back and forth chronology from the 1980s until recently of people Richard Preston interviewed. These people expressed their thoughts while dealing with the Ebola virus. It especially concerns the monkeys at at Reston VA location which were eradicated because of them dying due to contact with one another. The public and the experts did not know what caused the deaths. Some of the book details several people who traced the viruses back to Africa and visited there. This is a true story.

  • Slows drastically in the second half

Loved the first half, well written to induce a lot of anxiety and suspense, but seems like the author ran out of content in the second half and fell back on story-writing to fill out the remainder of the book. Either way, well worth the read even for the first half.
