    Loved it! Get this book!

It is one year later after I read this wonderful book and I am still thinking about all of the intricate details of the story. The love, the characters, the art, everything! I still think this is the best romance novel I have ever read. I seem to walk in certain upscale stores and notice various elements that were mentioned in the story. Now, the audiobook has been released so you can take Robinne and her wonderful story with you and listen to it anywhere you go! Vacations and trips will never be the same as you listen to Robinne use her phenomenal gift as an actress to unveil this wonderfully inspiring book in your ears. She literally brings each character to life! This book is so hard to put down. You will want to get more than one copy just as I did. When a forty year old woman catches the eye of a twenty year old man, a steamy relationship ensues. Solène Marchand is no ordinary woman. She is mature, elegant, and sexy. She knows how to take care of herself. Hayes is all of twenty years old. The leader of a boy band, he sees Solène and he knows what he wants. He goes after her and they embark on a wonderful adventure of love. However, things get complicated when Solène's teenage daughter gets wind of their relationship. The book explores ageism, the dangers of social media and fame, and the joys of the art world. The whirlwind of trips Solène and Hayes go on make you want to run and get your passport to experience travel on a whole other level. Get this book! Get this book! Get this book!

    A roller coaster of feels!

Every now and then you run across a book that sucks you in from the very beginning and you just know that it's going to be a book that's going to stay with you for a long time. The Idea of You is definitely one of those books. The writing, the compelling story, and the emotion in this novel will leave you feeling everything imaginable by the time you get to the end. Thirty-nine year old Solene, a divorced gallery owner and mother of 12-year old daughter Isabelle, is doing her best to move on with her life after her divorce. Little did she know that taking her daughter and her two friends to an August Moon concert she was going to catch the eye of one of the members of the hottest boy band around. Twenty year old Brit, Hayes Campbell, is the brainchild behind August Moon. He's wise beyond his years, as well as being drop dead gorgeous, thoughtful and undeniably talented. The connection he makes with Solene is immediate and hard to deny. I don't want to give too much else away except to say that this book truly had everything you could ever want in a story. It kept me on the edge of my seat, it entertained me, it angered me, it elated me and it made me sad. I truly don't know if there is an emotion I didn't feel while reading this book. It touched on issues in pop culture, sacrifices that mothers make and how torn those can make them feel and we see that double-standards are still alive and well today. This is truly one of those books that I know I'm going to be thinking about for a very long time and I'm really glad I went along for the ride. It makes you think, feel and hope. Kudos to Robinne Lee for penning this amazing novel.

    6 out of 5 Stars!

It’s been over a week since I finished The Idea of You and I still haven’t recovered. There aren’t words for how much I loved this book. I haven’t gotten these kinds of reading feels in a very long time. The Idea of You is beautifully written. Robinne Lee’s words ooze class and sophistication while still maintaining a sexy edge as you get sucked into Solène and Hayes’ steamy, taboo romance. Their passion and chemistry are unrivaled. It touches on the very agonizing reality of being a strong, successful, middle-aged, divorced single mom, and having those struggles magnified tenfold when you’re dating a younger man. All the insecurities you feel on the inside; all the judgments forced upon you from the outside. Robinne Lee touched on every aspect in eloquent detail. She made a seemingly impossible, fairytale scenario seem completely plausible while detailing a very honest look at being a middle-aged woman in our society. I implore you to read this book. Even if it seems as though you won’t relate – I assure you, you will find some part of yourself in these pages and the rest simply makes for a much-needed escape from reality! I would give The Idea of you 6 out of 5 stars if I could! These are the books I live for!

*One of my top 10 Favorite books of ALL TIME!!!

So I had the privilege of meeting Robinne at Book Bonanza in August. At the time I hadn't read The Idea if You, but had her sign it since she was there and I wanted the chance to meet her. We got to chat for a minute and I remember her asking, have you read the book? My reaction was a simple, not yet. She smiled and gave me a look that almost said, I can tell because I'm sure you'd have a lot to say to me if you had. Well I just finished it today and am broken over this. I can't stop sobbing and don't know how to move on from this one. I need more. This story is touching in every way possible and these are just 2 characters that will stick with me forever.
