    Good addition to the series

I enjoyed this latest novel in the series. A little different from previous novels in the series, less involvement with the characters that are known from the other books.

    Different story this time

I was worried I wouldn’t enjoy this book, as it appeared to deal with Muslim terrorists...so tired of that theme in so many books, movies and tv shows...but ended up loving the different spin on the story. And that the bad guys weren’t who I initially thought they were ...well done!

A return to form for the series

I was very disappointed with the last 3 Ava Lee books. The author placed Ava in the fashion industry which didn't feel true to the character of the earlier novels.I'm glad to say that there is no trace of fashion folly in The Imam of Tawi-Tawi. I truly hope it's gone for good. Ava,as a favor to a former client, goes to the Phillipines to investigate what might be a terrorist training ground and a plot to attack America.Joining forces with local law enforcement as well as the CIA,what Ava unearths is something far more menacing and shocking. Ava even busts out her bak mei chops in a brief glimpse of the butt-kickin' old days.Hopefully, this is a good sign for future adventures.
