    Ripping Yarns.

I'd been getting a little jaded with my current library, rereading earlier novels while waiting for the latest book. So buying this set was an attempt to get me out of my comfort zone of gruesome murder and ghastly autopsies. I am so glad I did! These books were an absolute delight! Each book spanned periods of history through which I lived. They are filled with known facts and fleshed out with pages of quite probable derring-do. The writing style was easy and entertaining. It felt like I was having the conversation with 'Jake' myself. I thoroughly enjoyed these books and would recommend to anyone with the ability to suspend disbelief especially if you have knowledge of the time period. A thoroughly good laugh.

    Dry humour at its best

Decent action, really funny dry humour a smattering of history...Jake is the kind of guy you would enjoy drinking beers with.

Bond is a double O. Falco is more OHH!

Action series with an amusing hero. Fondo isn't out for laughs, but there is a knowing smirk running throughout the stories. International intrigue and a guy that pulls things off, somehow. It's worth reading to find out what he's going to get into next.

The Jake Fonko Series Books 1 2&3

I found this book of great interest and would read more in the series, I understand you can get another bundle 4,5&6. Should I see it I would be tempted to buy it. I understand these books are written on a true person's life.
