THIS BOOK WAS NOT ONLY A GOOD READ BUT IT ILLUSTRATED EARLY LIFE ON THE PRAIRIES SO WELL I FELT THAT I WAS LIVING IT WITH THEM.

    A change from high living

A very well written story of troubles in a family in the old west. Family life unfolds after the theft from the bank, but I don't want to spoil it for others who will want to read. Just to say, great writer here.

    THE LAST LETTER

I really enjoyed this book. It gives a heartbreaking account of what settlers had to endure to make a home in an unforgiving land. It made me wonder how todays society without all of our taken for granted amenities would survive during those times. As with most books when the end of the reading is done, the story seems rush through to the end. Would have like to have seen a little more in what happened in the following months after the mother dies. Other than that it was a really good read for me. Will be looking for more titles from this Author.

    Broken hearts and forgiveness

This depiction of life pioneering on the prairie, the disasters brought about by nature coupled with the tragedies of human mistakes and frailties makes for a heartbreaking story that is salvaged only be forgiveness.
