    Fast paced and action packed

This one is fast paced and action packed. Almost too fast paced at times. This far into the story there are a ton of characters involved and keeping them all straight was hard at times. I did enjoy the story though and I was glad to see all the Loughman men reunited. This is far more suspense than romance but there is the thread of romance between Callie and Wyatt. They've been dancing around each other throughout all the books and finally they have to quit lying to themselves and face whats going on between them. Overall a very good read. Just one you have to take your time through and absorb it all. I highly recommend this one as well as the entire series.

    Enjoyable Story

The Legend is the 3rd book in the Sons of Texas series from Donna Grant. I had somehow missed the first 2 books in the series, but felt like the author did a great job catching the reader up on the history of the Loughman family and the other characters in the series. I enjoyed The Legend. I really loved that Callie and Wyatt had something between them from their past that Wyatt's family didn't ever know for sure happened. The tension and banter between Callie and Wyatt with everything going on honestly made me laugh many times, which was welcome as this book had so many stressful situations. I absolutely loved that both Callie and Wyatt are so protective of the other. I also loved discovering that Wyatt was the reason Callie's family had stayed away for so long. I do feel like since I picked up The Legend, and it is the third book in the series I missed out on some key elements to the other members of the Loughman family and other characters from the series. I was able to catch on pretty quickly to the various bad guy characters, but it took me a minute each time a new person was mentioned. I loved the romantic suspense elements to the story and felt like Ms. Grant did a great job keeping her readers wanting more. So much so, that I plan to go back and read the first 2 books in the series to better understand all the choices made to date. I adored Callie and Wyatt as a couple and even with all the turmoil around them. They had super hot chemistry and I was honestly surprised they waited so long to act upon that chemistry. They also truly loved each other and it showed in all the little and big things they did for one another. I enjoyed watching them both finally admit to their feelings and move towards a future together. I'll say it now. I felt like this book had a bit of a cliffhanger ending. I honestly thought this book would wrap up the series, so imagine my surprise when everything wasn't tied up with a bow at the end. Yes I understood as the book ended we need at least one more story to get the whole Loughman family story, but I was expecting it to wrap up with The Legend, so it put me off a little at the end. That being said, I really enjoyed Ms. Grant's voice and look forward to reading more books from her in the future. Rating: 3.5 Stars (B) Review copy provided by publisher

    Romantic Suspense

The Legend by Donna Grant Sons of Texas #3 The third book in the Sons of Texas series has Wyatt and Callie getting a second chance at love while fighting off numerous bad guys. Callie has worked with Wyatt’s father for over a decade while Wyatt has blamed his father for the death of his mother and stayed away for fifteen years. By the end of the book all three of the brothers and their father Orrin have found women to take into their futures…and also set their course to take down a global group known as The Saints. The story is action-packed and filled with fight scenes and rather horrible wounds to just about everyone. I found some of the things the characters managed to do while badly injured a stretch and really had trouble believing that Wyatt could be so very cold then thaw so quickly and why did Callie hanker after Wyatt for years? I am kind of curious to find out what happens next as the Loughmans, and their team, take on the nefarious international Saints. Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC – This is my honest review. 3 Stars

    Great Story

'The Legend' by Donna Grant is Book Three in The "Sons of Texas" series. This is the story of Callie Reed and Wyatt Loughman. I do feel that you will enjoy and understand this book better if you read the previous book. These book main focus is with the Loughman brothers and so this book opens us up to Wyatt. Both Callie and Wyatt are strong main characters that won't easily give into their feelings but love wins out for sure. This has some exciting situations...so if you love some drama and mystery to your romance this is your series. Love Ms. Grants writing and this just added to my admiration for her. "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.

    Loved!

Loved this book! Very fast paced romantic suspense with a kick ass heroine who is sexy, smart, and competent. Callie is a talented computer hacker that uses her skills against the elusive Saints. She's also very well trained in hand to hand combat and weapons. Callie's forced to partner with Wyatt, a Delta Force operator/commander and the man who broke her heart when they were young. They're fighting a very powerful shadow organization that spans several continents (The Saints).. As they're fighting for their lives, they're also fighting their attraction to each other. What follows is a thriller that kept me turning pages just as quickly as possible. I particularly enjoyed a reading about a female character that was every bit as strong as the male. Fans of the genre will love this book. The author is on my must read authors' list and I'm already looking forward to her next book.
