Synopsis

Annaliese Harper knows that one tiny mistake can jeopardize a career before it’s even begun. Letting your boss find the extensive collection of porn on your personal laptop is one way. Sleeping with him is another. Liese manages to do both.

As the new librarian at a prestigious small-town private high school, Liese is drawn to her sexy, charismatic principal, Ryder Whitehall—an attraction she refuses to acknowledge given their relationship and her recent liberation from a delusional ex-boyfriend.

Liese is certain Ryder’s flirtation is the product of her sex-deprived imagination—until he discovers her digital porn stash during working hours and demands a private meeting. Behind closed doors, their attraction explodes into a dangerous, passionate affair that not only threatens their jobs and reputations, but most of all, their hearts.

    Funny, sexy with great characters!

"Having a good looking boss was one thing; crushing on him was entirely another." Helena Hunting journey between the new librarian Annaliese (Liese) Harper and Ryder Whitehall, FAHL’s swoon worthy principle; this was a funny, sexy, laugh-out-load story, with just enough “out-side” drama. The build up between Liese at orientation, from being around the delicious Ryder when he agrees to be her “Advisor” up to when Ryder finds the hilariously steamy photo shopped pictures from her BFF Marissa (not that Ryder know that) make this story even more interesting. Also, into this mix we are introduced to co-workers, like Blake, an ex-boyfriend which add to the chaos of these two knowing the path those steamy pictures takes them on can come to no good, professionally that is, because personally they are falling for each other. "Some invisible line had been crossed, and Liese doubted she'd be able to return to the safety of the other side--the side where she pretended the attraction was all in her head." They dance around what they have started and keeping it separate from their professional working relationship (since the district has a non-fraternization policy even though both of them are single adults), toss in, the morning after misunderstanding, the is she dating Blake, the bear making ex-boyfriend, her BFF, his family, her family gives the story some added drama. Helena Hunting created a storyline with just enough drama, swoon worthy scenes, funny secondary characters, romance, that kept me going from page to page until there HEA. I wouldn't mind seeing Marissa & Blakes story, and a revisit to Liese and Ryder as well.

    Well and truly enjoyed!

Stars: 4 I loved the plot of this book. Forbidden romance between a principal and a librarian, and then throw in some twists outside of the forbidden and you get this exciting read! There were some predictable parts for me, which is why I traded this a 4 instead of a 5 star. Another reason for me was that the ending seemed to babble. There were pieces that seemed like the natural path to take for these characters, and that's what was written, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I also feel like I could have stopped reading and still known how it ended. Over all I did well and truly enjoy reading this book and would recommend it to a friend.

    Loved It !!!

I just finished reading this story and loved every second of it. All the characters in the story catch your attention either for good or bad reasons. The bad you will see whey when you read. In the end though through all the problems of them together they do finally get their happy ending. I would have so loved to read on and see where they went from there because I'll miss reading their story.

    Forbidden romance

I guess you could class this as a kind of forbidden romance. It takes place at a school but is between two staff members, rather than a student/teacher type of romance. Leise is the school librarian and gets caught out with inappropriate images on her personal laptop. Her best friend photoshopped her into some r-rated images with the school Principle, Ryder. Unfortunately he is the person who discovers them. Rather than losing her job she is surprised to discover than Ryder is interested to know more about these pictures and why she has them. There is mutual attraction between them and even tough acting on it will mean both of their careers could be in jeopardy, they can't resist each other. Just to add to the stress of what's going on, Leise's ex boyfriend has gone all crazy stalker on her which will complicate her life even more. This was an easy to read story.

Great first read by a new to me author

I picked up this book after reading an excerpt on facebook. I really enjoyed this book. Kept me up laughing many times. I thought she could have done more with Leisie's stalker. I felt that it ended abruptly and prematurely and it could have been taken further. This is the first book that I have read from this author but I look forward to reading many more.
