    Loved it.

Now this was a fun read. Mix together name of the wind, Oliver Twist, and pirates of the carribeans Jack Sparrow (savvy?), with some brutally visceral world building and sharp, often dark humor and this is the result. Thoroughly enjoyed The Lies of Locke Lamora and looking forward to starting the next Gentlemen Bastards book.

    Brazen, colourful and bloody

An excellent and fun read. I admit there was a point halfway through where I thought the plot had died, but Scott Lynch manages to pull his story lines together for an epic finale. Full of colourful, brazen characters and bloody plot points. There's a little something in here for readers of all tastes.
