    The Lost Continent

I have read and really enjoyed most of Bill Bryson's books and always look forward to the next one. However, for the most part, I was often annoyed by his offensive ridicule of people, places and things throughout his travels in the United States. Yes, I agree that people throughout the world are different and we encounter rude, ignorant, stupid people but, in the alternative, there is also those who are caring, helpful, interesting and kind that we meet on our travels. This book made fun of mostly everything that Bill came across, he should have stayed home and watched paint dry.
