    The lost Soldier

This book is a must read for anyone who disputes the effect war has on families, people, and communities. The book highlights the grief and courage of everyday people whose lives are torn apart by the destruction of War. She cleverly relates how the devastation of war continues to affect the generations born after. Diney keeps historically correct as she weaves this fictional story ....absolutely brilliant!

Another great read by Diney Costeloe!

I enjoyed this book even though I thought I was going to be disappointed when the author shifted back and forth between present day and wartime Britain.

    Riveting

Again Diney Costeloe has given us another story that she brings to life with her attention to detail and historical descriptions we can imagine we are right in the story. The horrors of war, different expectations for men and women, these still continue, still much work to be done in our time. Thank again Diney Costeloe.

    Brilliant

Once again, Diney has depicted a powerful and beautiful story. The way she weaves her stories is so heart warming, well researched and educational of the history of two brutal wars. I had read The Sisters of St Croix and then The Lost Soldier. I love how Diney wove these together and I felt like I knew every character well. SUCH A WONDERFUL WRITER.
