    So so good!

This is book is so so good! I was in love with and rooting for Lark from the first moment I met her. The chemistry between her and Sam jumps off the page. One of the things I love best about KA Linde's books is her world-building. The characters come to life and it feels like you could just walk into the story. There are so many hints for the stories to come and I can't wait for the next one!!

    Loved Lark and Sam

I have been waiting for the release of The Lying Season and I have to admit - I loved every minute of Lark and Sam. We originally met Lark in the Cruel Trilogy and I was so excited to see more of her. Lark is Upper East Side, but she wants to make a way for herself and not off of her parents or their money. So, since she fell in love with politics years ago, that is the work that she chooses to do. She met Sam on the campaign trail years ago and fell in love with him, but she got her heart broke in the end. When Sam comes back into her life, 5 years later, will they be able to move past all of the hurt from the past? Will he be able to accept her for who she is and give her the HEA that she deserves? This book was wonderful. Great pace, kept you hooked and flipping the pages from beginning to the end and never left you feeling lost. This book is a standalone, but to understand all of the other characters, you will need to read the Cruel Trilogy. I can’t wait until we get more books with the other characters, especially Court!

    An angsty second chance romance!

Lark St. Vincent is from the Upper East Side, privileged, and has a dark side to her. However, she doesn't want that life, she wants to work hard, make something of herself in the political field. As the deputy campaign manager for the mayor, she is busy and doesn't take time to meet any guys. Along comes Sam, the "one" who just happened to get away, and is now working on the same campaign as Lark. These two have chemistry that jumps off the page. I adored the push and pull, the banter between them. The story makes me want to join a political campaign, while it may not be glamorous, I might just find my own Sam! The Lying Season is an amazing standalone read that makes me excited for who comes next on the Upper East Side!

    Sam & Lark are everything!!!!

I am so in love with Sam and Lark!!! This book was impossible to put down and I dreaded the book hangover I knew was going to occur immediately after I finished. Lark and Sam have chemistry that reignites after years apart...their chemistry along with all of the Upper East Side crew we’ve been introduced to in previous books made this the perfect read for me. Lark and Sam reunite on Mayor Kensington’s re-election campaign after a falling out while working on a previous campaign 5 years earlier. They are instantly drawn to each other again, but with Lark having recently gotten out of a terrible relationship, and Sam currently being in a relationship...they can look...bug they can’t touch.

another winner for K A Linde

Such an incredible story. Not only does K A Linde give you main characters to focus on she incorporates others in their lives as well. Whenever I see a new story written by K A Linde I know it’s going to be a winner. Her writing is so incredible. She has you glued to every word. Her characters are just as amazing. She has you so connected to them you can’t let go. The “background” characters are always an added bonus. She knows exactly what her readers want and she always delivers. Sam and Lark were so much fun to read. Lark is so focused on her job and Sam has come back into hers after 5 years since their breakup. How will they be able to work together and not let the past come into their present?
