  • Great addition to the series

5 Star Review of The Man From Sanctum (Masters and Mercenaries Reloaded #3) by Lexi Blake   Deke Murphy and Maddie Hall’s second chance at love story ticked all the boxes for me. I was captivated by the story that Lexi Blake wove and read this one in almost one go. Years ago Deke dumped his high school girlfriend Maddie knowing it was the right thing to do for her. Fast forward seventeen years and Maddie believes that Deke is the only man who can help her when she suspects that her boss is part of an international conspiracy. As they work together secrets are uncovered and danger surrounds them. The chemistry is just as intense as it once was as is their connection. This was a fast paced story that kept me on the edge of my seat whilst reading. There was plenty of heat, steam, suspense and danger and was a great addition to the series. The characters are well developed and engaging which I have come to expect from Ms. Blake. A strong story will characters whose story you cannot help but become invested in. Seeing some familiar faces and the scenes at the club just added an additional layer to my enjoyment of The Man From Sanctum.I

  • Fantastic story and characters

What. Just. Happened? After 24 books, multiple ops, hundreds of heroes/heroines and villains, I don’t think I’ve loved a collection of characters in one book more. Okay, I’ll backtrack that statement a bit and say that I haven’t enjoyed a collection of characters more since the OG MacKay Taggart gang. While high school sweethearts Deke and Maddie are the main couple, the rest of the cast includes Kyle, MaeBe and Boomer…some of my very favorite employees/family of everyone’s favorite security firm. They touched my funny bone as well as my heart; the made me chuckle, gasp, shout and, yes, cry. Not giving anything away, but this story is very ripped-from-the-headlines, which I loved. It made the plot a bit more “real”, if you know what I mean. While I love the intrigue and action in the series, it’s the characters that keep bringing me back. From the snarky but weirdly sentimental Ian to bottomless pit Boomer to cameos from old associates…each addition added another layer to the book. And Lexi Blake writes them like real 3-dimensional people, not just those who live between the pages of the story. So, even after 24 books, The Man from Sanctum is still as fresh and fun as the very first M&M one. I’m looking forward to many, many more.

  • Need more now!

This was, once again, a “I’m going to read for a bit and then finished the whole things because I couldn’t put it down” read. I was immediately drawn into the story, the mystery, all the interpersonal dynamics and connections and conflicts. The suspense, off the charts, because this is the one, the one where the big bad is revealed to everyone and it all falls apart. The emotions, our long haul relationship had the blow-up moment, the heartache that will change them both, and left you needing them to get that HEA all the more. But that is for later, because this love story is for Maddy and Deke. The steam and attraction between our main characters is still there, all the things unsaid from all those years ago, all the doubt and insecurities. Madeline and Deke had so much undone, unsaid, unfelt, but throughout their story, they finally have that chance. They think they are ready for it, but they aren’t, it still takes work and commitment on both their parts. But when they do that, reach those moments, it is the thing they have been chasing, missing, wanting, since they were last together, and it is perfection <3

  • A Wonderful novel

Lexi Blake did a fantastic job on the characters as well as the plot in this 3rd Masters and Mercenaries Reloaded novel. The main characters have to overcome a lot of pain as well as adjusting to who they are now. Their journey to find out what is going wrong at her work leads to dangerous people who are ruthless and have already killed 2 people to protect their secrets.Action packed as well as being full of self discovery makes for fun reading.

  • Haunting story

This is the third book of the Reloaded series and what a series it is!!!! Deke and Maddie were high school sweethearts and he dumped her after she received a full scholarship to Yale and was willing to postponed her going to stay with Deke. ... Years later she contacts Deke, because she needs his help because she suspects her boss is up to no good and he is interested into going to The Reef a local BDSM club to give his girlfriend what she needs and she knows that an trust Deke as a Dom. They both resent each other for what happened in high school but are willing to put everything aside for this. Helping Deke for this op, is our local cast of characters: Ian, Boomer, Kyle and Maebe and our fun CIA agent Drake. What comes next is something you never see coming and you are surprised every time you turn the page of this story. Action packed, nail biting, on the edge of your seat story, where a second chance at love comes with confessions that you are not expecting and yet you did. I can't wait for the next story in ongoing series and I volunteered to review this amazing story.
