    Loved! Loved! Loved! 6 stars

Omg, Barbara Devlin has outdone herself, with The Marooner, her third novel of the Pirates of the Coast series! The first page grabbed my attention and something wonderful happened! I could not put it down! Truly, I had so much fun following Leland and Sophia's high sea adventure that soon it became a real page turner. It can be enjoyed from the first page until the very last one, only to find out that I wanted more! There was never a dull moment from the very beginning. The story starts as Lady Sophia Grace Radcliff is sold by father, because of his debts. She is a kind, sweet and gentle Englishwoman, who never thought this would happen to her. That's when Leland Stryker, known as The Marooner, enters her life. She feels humiliated being sold as merchandise and claimed by Leland as a prize. Can she marry for money, without any love. However, she will soon discover that she can charm her new husband to get things her way, by playing the seduction games! And Leland's power of seduction is so sensual, that she will really love being his wife. She will soon captivate him, take hold of his heart and never let him go. Leland is so surprised to find out that Sophia has so many talents, that he falls deeply in love with her. Leland and Sophia are such a beautiful couple together! Although, they have secrets hidden in their past, they will trust and share them, in order to know each other better. Let yourself be swept away with this high sea adventure with Leland and Sophia! I loved the teasing and banter between them! Some scenes are so cute and funny, you won't be disappointed with The Marooner. Please note that I gave my review an extra star, because it’s so well written and I enjoyed it so much!

    Great Fun

Captain Leland Stryker has decided to take a bride as part of his new life. On the high seas he is better known as the Marooner a pirate who abandoned his victims rather than kill them. He knows the days of pirating are over and it's time to go straight. Lady Sophia Grace Radcliff knows she must marry for money. Her father has lost the family wealth, and her younger siblings need her to save them from the same fate. Our heroine will need all her courage to face the new life she will discover. Life as a society miss certainly didn't prepare her to be the wife of such a man. Our hero is brash and bold with a very well hidden vulnerable core. He is attracted by her innocence and strength. Can he open up enough to gain what is most important? Adventure on the high seas, with wonderful strong characters. An amusing twist on a pirate tale. This is part of a series but easily read as a stand alone. I loved every page.

    Fantastic!!!

The Marooner by Barbara Devlin is #3 in her captivating series, "Pirates of the Coast", but can be read as stand alone. With pirates, mystery, romance, swashbuckling adventure, passion and love, what's not to enjoy. A quick read, but Ms. Devlin manages to pull together a story that is breathtaking, captivating and holds one's attention throughout. The cast of characters are engaging and compelling. The plot flows effortlessly, is intriguing, powerful and romantic. You gotta love romance on the high seas and pirates turned privateers! Highly recommended for fans of high sea adventure, compelling stories and romance. Another hit for Barbara Devlin. A definite myst read! Rating: 4.5 Heat rating: Steamy Reviewer: AprilR
