  • 4+ Stars! Fast-Paced and Suspenseful!

Brisk, intense, and extremely suspenseful! This is a compelling thriller that reminds us how easily life can turn on a dime, and hauntingly points out that sometimes the ones we think we know the best can often turn out to be complete strangers. It is, ultimately, a story about family, trust, grief, deception, lies, secrets, and morals. The writing is clear and exact. The plot is brimming with twists and turns, multiple surprises, and fast-paced adventure. And the main character, Iris, is strong, bright, inquisitive and determined. Overall, this is an intelligent, gripping page turner that will definitely keep you engaged and guessing until the very last page.

  • A Page-Turner

The pace in this book makes it a real page-turner, and the many twists and curves with lots of suspense made it difficult for me to put down. Immersion was diluted for me by Iris's thoughts and emotions twisting and curving in her nearly unbelievable reactions to every plot twist and curve. Iris was a bit over-the-top for me in places, but other than being thankful I don't share her head, this was a very enjoyable read all around.

  • The Marriage Lie

This was the first story in years that I did not want to put down. It is well written, the plot is interesting, the characters grab you and hold on and the twists and turns keep you wondering what will happen next. I read a lot and this is one of the best if you enjoy suspence.

  • Loved it

I very much enjoyed reading this novel. I loved the characters, especially Iris's parents and her twin brother. The story moves along at a fast pace and there are enough twists and turns to keep a reader interested. I felt so bad for Iris and can't imagine finding out that your husband has lied about his whole life. While Will only appears in the book for a short time, he is the character that drives the story. There are a lot of why's and how's to figure out and every one them has to do with Will. I'm not sure I liked Will very much but I could almost see his side of things. A very satisfying ending wrapped this novel up nicely.

    Thanks for your feedback!
