    A really sad story...

This book starts with some weird events, but till the end, you realize, how life can be cruel to someone, and people can treat you as some thing, as an It, as a lowest life form. It is painful, if this is Your family, closest people which you love and cherish more than anything. It is inspiring. Just because a misfortune occurred which had changed your life, you shall never give up. Nobody have the right to brake your will and the desire to live.

    required reading

This book was on a reading list. I'm sure for smarter people it's quite good. You can drone on about it's deeper meaning of the perils of capitalism or self-righteousness or what ever it was about. To me its a short book about a guy who turned into a bug. Don't over think it.

    Loved it

The only Kafka I'd been exposed to before was The Trial, and I loathed it. The Metamorphosis, by contrast, was an absolute delight. Powerful themes, dream-like prose and a poignant story with a hint of melancholy kept me enraptured from start to finish.
