    The Mind's eye

I've loved every Oliver Sacks book I have ever read and this one is no exception. No one else even comes close to illuminating the complexities of the inner workings of the human mind.

An always-human scientist looks at how we see

Oliver Sacks brings his usual relatable, human narratives to questions of how we see. How does the brain interpret those signals along the optic nerve? What does it mean to be "face-blind"? What can we learn about sight from people who have faced injuries or disease? It's a fascinating book, technically precise but still accessible to non-specialists.
