Interesting Biography of Harper Lee and her Life

This is a biography about Harper Lee, the author of To Kill a Mockingbird. What made this interesting to me was the development of the relationship and ultimately a friendship with Harper Lee. This allowed for close observation and insight into the author, her family and friendship ties, and the lifestyle of life in deep south Alabama. In the end, I felt satisfied with the perspective that clearly enhanced the mystique and background of this famous novel.

Much criticized but I liked it

Most of the reviews I have read are negative, but I liked this book as a memoir of the author. I don't think she is pretending this is a biography of Harper Lee. Halfway through I re- read for about the tenth time To Kill A Mockingbird, and it is as great as ever.
