    Regency Romance

The Most Eligible Lord in London by Ella Quinn The Lords of London #1 Have you ever made a decision, assumed something about someone, presumed you were correct and then...found out you were incorrect? Finding out you might be wrong is not easy, finding out that your choices might have hurt others hurts two not one and making things right is not always possible. At least in THIS story there is a HEA...eventually. Frederick, Lord Littleton is a man who has determined it is time to settle down. Last season he thought he had found “the one” only to realize they would not suit one another. His behavior left something to be desire so when he returns to look for a wife the next season and is once again smitten he does his best to be a bit more cautious. Poor Frits finds that his usual allure is not up to snuff with Adeline as her new friend warns her to be cautious of Littleton as he is not ready to settle down. Believing him a rake and wanting to support her new friend she is distant when with Frits. How will Frits win Adeline over? And, what about Crispin who seems to have decided Adeline should be his? What I liked: * Adeline: young but she knows what she does and does not want. She prefers the country to the city and does not appreciate politics * Frits: a man who hopes to woo and win Adeline through carriage rides, discussion of animal husbandry and/or any other means he can come up with * The side stories and romances...there were a few * The conspiring of the mothers of Adeline and Frits * Maximus and the explanation for why he and squirrels were not compatible * The story of the farm animals...so much fun * The unveiling of one scoundrel’s mistakes – do wonder what his choice will be * That it was relatively uncomplicated and easy flowing * How it all turned out What I did not like: * The slave owner and his henchman * One of the men out only for himself without thought for others * That my thoughts were easily taken away from the story – not sure if it is that the focus is ripped away by increasing covid-19 cases or if it was something else. Did I enjoy this book? Yes Would I read more in the series? I believe so Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington-Zebra for the ARC – This is my honest review. 3-4 Stars

    The most eligible lord

Adeline is getting ready for her come out when she is introduced to Lord Littleton. Frits is trying hard to overcome his mistake last season. Now that he has decided who would be his perfect wife he has to prove himself. Cute fun read with some drama added to it.

great start to a new series

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. The Most Eligible Lord In London, by Ella Quinn, is available at booksellers March 31, 2020. Eligible is the 1st book in a new series, The Lords Of London. It's off to a good start. In most of Ms Quinn's books I'm left wondering about secondary characters. The kind so good they deserve a story of their own. I'm getting my wish. There's always an eligible man or 2 running around the ballrooms of London. 3 of them are going to get HEA's! Federick "Fritz" Littleton has been labeled a snake in the grass. He wants love & last season he panicked, wrong lady, and went home before any real damage was done. This season he's in trouble and knows it. He's a handsome, very charming man. Wealthy, nice, a little naughty, good manners, he's perfect. He feels bad about what happened and keeps trying to make amends. He even enlists the help of his mother, that's desperate. I really, really liked him. Lady Adeline Wivenly was harder for me to like at first. She comes out of her shell and goes after what she wants but she was so shy I felt bad for her. Her greatest asset is loyalty. She's willing to let Fritz go because he hurt her friend. That's a friend indeed. Looking forward to The Most Eligible Viscount In London. Turley is still chasing after Georgie. He better up his game. #EllaQuinn #TheMostEligibleLordInLondon #TheLordsOfLondon #romance #netgalley #KensingtonBooks #ZebraBooks

    Journey to Love

A Delightful debut for the start of a new series by the wonderful Ella Quinn. What could be better? Frits, Lord Littleton was making his way to his second season. After the disastrous one last year he could only hope it went better. He had acted the cad in paying attention to Lady Dorie, but decided they would not suit and had just left without a word. He had high hopes though because he did want to find a wife, not wait as his ancestors had until they were forced to marry. Of course the one who caught his eye was a friend of Dorie's Lady Adeline. He was definately enchanted by her and wanted to court her. But he knew it might be difficult due to her friend. This was a slow burn romance and I enjoyed Frits and Adeline. But there is a real rake in the midst who wants to court Adeline just to get her dowry. All is not as it seems and the journey is fun and intriguing! I read this through NetGallery and the publisher

    Great book!

This was a well-written, entertaining book. Lady Adeline Wivenly is in her first season, and has been warned to avoid Fredrick, Lord Littleton. She overhears another woman plotting to trick him into marriage, and she can't let him be taken advantage of that way. For his part, Lord Littleton is very attracted to Lady Adeline and wants the chance to change her mind about him. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books by this author.
