    Thanks for your feedback!

    Brilliant, action-packed tale

The Muskokans is a great tale; full of mystery, adventure and history. It captured my interest immediately and kept me guessing throughout the twists and turns. The detailed description created vivid images of the beautiful scenery in my mind and I loved the characters, particularly the brotherly bond between Ewan and Matthew. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it to lovers of suspense and action.

    A heart-warming tale of a chilling undertaking!

Artis Fricbergs is fully responsible for my inability to sleep at night...! His debut novel, “The Muskokans”, captures the beauty of The Muskoka region of the Ontario wilderness in Canada and the ghoulish nightmares of the famed Muskokian hotel and resort. Two mysterious deaths, in two completely different time periods, kick starts this adventure and lays the groundwork for an ancient wrong that must be made right. A family upheld the historical legacy and endured the strange happenings of the Muskokian until it was sold, abandoning the glory and beauty of what was once "home" to disrepair and neglect. After the funeral of a childhood friend, a man, once tied to the historical lands, and his two sons return to claim what once belonged to their family. Possessing the property does more than restore what should have been an inheritance, though. It exposes the demons that haunt the halls of the hotel, and the personal ones that continue to plague and strain multi-generations of fathers and sons in their family. Visits from apparitions, lucid dreams, and wild stories fill the pages and make going to bed at night nearly impossible – not only from chilling moments, but from the sheer inability to put the book down. Artis has a vivid writing style, and the words float off the page and marinate the imagination with images that linger long after the page is turned. The story unfolds similar to a movie, each frame a snippet of intrigue, family life, adventure, laced with horrific battles with the dead and undead. "The Muskokans" is a heart-warming tale of a chilling undertaking, of coming of age, and learning what it means to truly be a man. Artis, you left me hanging! So you are STILL responsible for my inability to sleep at night because now I must know what happens next...! I look forward to book two :D
