  • Eerie, haunting, Christmas story

First off-I loved it. I don't buy short stories-it's a rule of mine. I really wanted to buy and read this on Christmas but got too busy. OddlI still went back to read it anyway after Xmas was past. It takes place at holiday time & seemed to be kinda dreary. However, the characterization was good and I was interested to read more. Besides I like Christmas ghost stories; what's more I like JT Ellison.. so I kept reading. The Omen Days_ isn't quite what I had expected. It *is* spooky and atmospheric without being ridiculous or silly-what's also great about it is the very real police procedural involving the protagonist's missing fomer girlfriend/lost love...It was actually exciting and, corny as it sounds-I felt as though I was right there with them in the desert. There were two pieces that I questioned the likely-hood of...yet they were somehow acceptable given who what and where ...peculiarly these improbable {small} events added to the very grave, but dream-like circumstances. To sum up-I loved it and was happily surprised that it *wasn't* really as I expected it to be-especially the twists toward the end! :-)

  • Short story with a twist

Did he see a ghost or was the booze affecting his brain? J. T. Ellison delights in this short story! Read and enjoy!

  • Great short story

I'm not usually a fan of short stories. Always seem to leave you with too many questions. This was a great short read. What made it even better was the author's note after about how the story came about. Very impressed

  • Great Read

This story had me from the first page, it was a short story but it had all the ear marks of a great mystery story and action.
