An amazing book in the Jamison Valley series!!

Yet another powerful book in the Jamison Valley series. It, like the others, does not disappoint!! Sweetcake...in hiding from some Russian mobsters. Goliath...her knight in really big armor. Both doing their best to make a bad situation good...until together..they made it amazing. Two worlds apart...forced to keep a united front until she is safe and can go back to her life. The only thing he didn’t keep safe was his heart. Riveting story...two who were brought together by only what could be stated as destiny. Another book of witty banter yet packed also with laughter and tears!! Enjoy!!

    This story has it all!

The Outpost really does have it all. Sabrina's troubles provide suspense and drama, and Beau provides all the romance. There was an instant attraction between these two, but they started out as friends. I loved the slow burn. Beau is such a nice guy, yet he has the rugged mountain man appeal too. The whole premise of her hiding out in a secluded spot in the mountains was so much fun to read. I loved every second of their time at the outpost. Sabrina goes through some horrific things, and Beau is always there for her. He is the ultimate protector and rescuer. I really have fallen in love with all the characters in this series and this small town in Montana.

Full of romance, unforgettable characters, mystery

The Jamison Valley Series is a series that is full of romance, unforgettable characters, mystery, suspense, and love stories you won't soon forget! Though Devney Perry takes a different route with The Outpost, the small hometown feel of Prescott is still deeply rooted throughout every page. The Coppersmith Farmhouse was a heartwarming tale. The Clover Chapel was a second chance feel good romance, and so was The Lucky Heart, but it was also a romance that burned slowly. Much like The Lucky Heart, The Outpost is also a slow burning romance that turns two completely opposite strangers into lovers in this remarkable tale of discovering where you belong. Sabrina is the epitome of change. The woman we meet at page one transitions throughout the entire book, which I found myself loving because the drawn out transformation is what Sabrina needed. She was such a headstrong h and even though she has a new outlook on life at the end of the book, she wasn't unrecognizable. She never lost her true self. I like to think she found her. Beau is the person everybody leans on. He's dependable and trustworthy. His job, family, and friends are always at the top of his priority list, making his personal life basically non-existent. Until Sabrina. He becomes her protector. Her sounding board and her source of comfort. Her everything. He may be her Goliath-bearded, big, and rugged-but this man, this man is like a gentle giant when it comes to his Shortcake. Now this is the part where I give a disclaimer and I tell you each book in this series can be read as a standalone. And they can, but let me tell you there's no feeling like getting sunken into the small town of Prescott. So here's my real disclaimer: Move to Montana and start your life on the farmhouse, end up at the chapel with a stranger in Vegas, then head on over to the family ranch and get lucky with your second chance and when you're done, escape to the outpost and find out exactly where you belong.

    The Outpost

Devney Perry can write! The plots and characters that she puts together flow so seamlessly. The Outpost is Book #4 in her Jamison Valley series of standalones, and each one has made me want to visit this area more and more (but during the summer- I’m not a big fan of snow). The Outpost is the story of Beau, someone that everyone- family, friends, and citizens of Prescott- has come to constantly rely on. For the most part, Beau doesn’t mind. Even when Sabrina comes to town in need of protection. Beau takes Sabrina on, and he manages to hide her away in an outpost in the mountains. Through her 6 month separation from the world- Beau being her only connection-Sabrina comes to love her little outpost and the simplicity of life. She also comes to love Beau. This story fit perfectly with this series. And the author did such a great job describing the outpost and surrounding area that I could visualize it so well. I am anxious for Maisy’s story next!!

    Sweet Love Story

One of my favorite things about this author's style is there is no insta love. Yes there are moments of insta-lust which to me is o.k., but all of the love comes with building the characters. Beau is a protector and he is just what Sabrina needs. Sabrina is spoiled and is use to the good life, and everything Beau does not want. Through many conversations and Beau being the only person Sabrina can rely on in the moment, you watch Sabrina grow, change, and become the person that Beau not only needs but wants. This was such a sweet love story! I would recommend it to everyone!!!
