    Story of strength

What an amazing tale of war years survived through hideous conditions and hardship. Well written and hard to put down towards the end of the story. A reminder of how extreme war was for Poland and how the will to survive was so strong against all the odds. So many millions did not survive.

    Paris of the East

Took 4 days to rattle through this book. We are currently in Paris so it was great to make comparisons. Warsaw took a battering during WW2 and no one came to support them. They had to cope alone. This story depicts that struggle and how devastating the situation was. As a Kiwi the information I read about Poland and Warsaw makes me want to visit this place myself. It's a great read.
