    The Pecker Briefs

Thank goodness for the peckers that brought together Viveka Jones and Ford Daniels! These two are lawyers on opposite sides in a case brought against a builder/developer in order to save a forest where an endangered woodpecker has been spotted. They meet when Viveka chains herself to a tree so she can serve the injunction and Ford immediately knows she is different from any woman he has met and the sparks are evident from the beginning. The chemistry is explosive and H-O-T and when you are talking the partners of Knight & Payne we have learned anything goes. Leary and Reece are also a part of this book (they are from a previous book Fiction and you don't need to read that one to know what is going on) and they are still a hoot. This is smart, sexy, and so witty I found myself having such a good time reading I couldn't put it down. I definitely recommend this one! **Received this ARC for review**

    Awesome

Sawyer Bennett delivers another winner as she takes us back to her Legal Affairs series with this fun, sexy contemporary romance. Each of these books can be read standalone but do yourself a favor and read the entire series. You'll be glad you did. In this book we get sexy attorney Daniel Daniels story as he takes on animal rights attorney Viveka Jones over nesting rights of a bunch of peckers! Woodpeckers that is. These two bring the heat in and out of the courtroom. This is one for the must read list. I recommend it.

The Pecker Briefs, a great read

The Pecker Briefs by Sawyer Bennett are the 7. book in the Legal Affairs Series. The Pecker Briefs, while part of the series, can easily be read as a standalone. Ford Daniels is a successful lawyer. He´s partner with Knight and Payne and what he wants, he gets. Viveka Jones is a 36 year old divorced attorney for animal rights. She´s a determined do gooder. She knows her ressources are lacking but her will to sacrifice makes up. And now these two so different people clash about their newest case, the Red-cockaded Woodpecker. Ford´s client wants to resume his business and the bird gone. Viveka wants the nestings protected . And to make matters worse both are crazily attracted to each other. So attracted, Ford is about to bend the rules for the attorney. The Pecker Briefs is a witty and fun read. The characters are great - I easily connected with them. The writing is great and I love the story and the words. The other novel in the series are: Legal Affairs 1-4 Confession of a Litigation God Clash Grind Yield Sexy Lies and Rock & Roll. I recommend The Pecker Briefs and the Legal Affairs Series and give 5 stars.

    Cute and Funny =)

The Pecker Briefs was a funny and cute read. I really enjoyed Ford and Viveka and their relationship. They're adorable together. They have some differences, but they also have a lot of similarities which works for their relationship. Ford is really cute with Viv and says and does a lot of sweet things to and for her. The storyline and concept was cute, especially how it all starts for them, and of course there are a few rough patches along the way. It made me smile when Leary and Reeve made several appearances. The epilogue was really cute, I just also wish there was one a year later as well.

    Fun and hot read!!!

**Received ARC for a fair and honest review** The Pecker Briefs is the 7th book in the Legal Affairs series. This book can be read as a standalone. This book is a fun, sweet, fast read. Viveka Jones grew up as a model, when she got tired of her mom living vicariously through her, spending all her money she went through proper legal channels to become an emancipated minor. But she had more aspirations and put herself through school and law school and became an attorney. Now she's an animal defense attorney, and while it doesn't pay well she is happy. When she's asked to take on a case about the red cockaded woodpeckers that are on the endangered species list and a big construction company wants to level trees that there are nests in Viveka will not stop until they are saved. Ford Daniels works for Knight & Payne law firm, and is a hot shot attorney for them. When he gets a call from his client about land he's trying to excavate, the last thing he expects to find is a gorgeous female attorney chained to a tree, and now his opposing counsel. I really enjoyed both characters tremendously. Viveka was smart, beautiful, down to earth, strong and Ford was smart, good looking, strong, alpha and caring. They had great chemistry, and watching their relationship evolve was a lot of fun. The storyline was fun, sweet, hot and steamy. I really enjoyed the secondary characters, loved seeing Leary and Viveka develop a friendship. I lived in NC for 7 years and on Ft Bragg there is a lot of protected land for the red cockaded woodpeckers. I've been there, as I was stationed there. I loved having that bit of fact in the story. Also gave the story some credibility and got me deeper involved in it. Overall loved the story. Can't wait for the next book in the series! Hope this helps! Happy Reading!!!
