  • Another page turned from Matthew Dicks

In Matthew Dicks latest release he takes a mundane PTO meeting and turns it into a fantastic catalyst for his page-turning morality tale. He uses his brilliant sometimes acerbic, sometimes subtle humor, his insightful metaphoric dialogue and his amazing quirky characters to once again showcase his extraordinary storytelling ability. But what he does the best is to make his readers feel part of the story as we laugh, cry and empathize with the players in his adventure. When mild-mannered, shy Caroline Jacobs dropped the F-bomb during the Parent Teacher Organization meeting no one was more surprised than she was. When the very next day her daughter Polly attacks another student in Caroline’s defense as a direct result of that outburst she knows she has to take action. And that action means her return to her hometown, her high-school nemesis, the foreboding event that changed her life and the experience that was ultimate reason for her unlikely behavior. Not sure she can keep the bravado she opts to take Polly along for courage and moral support and without so much as a change of clothes they head out on a nine-hour drive, Caroline hoping to put to rest the ghosts of her past.
