  • The Perk

A nail bitter for sure. Couldn't put it down. The dialogue was so real which made the characters also real. I felt like I was living in the book while I was reading it. Will have to find the rest of his books.

  • The Perk

A really good, emotionally rewarding story balanced well with strong edgy elements. I will now look for others by the same author.

  • Just loved this book, suspense and an unexpected dénouement. Quick paced and well researched. Giminez holds his own in the mystery and suspense department. I have now read all his books and could not put them down.

  • Reminds me of the tv show reckless

As much a story about the judge coming to term with the past and redefining his futre as it is a legal thriller. Reminds me a lot of Reckless, the tv show in that you have small town prejudices contrasted with a northern big city lawyer. Not a true thriller or court room suspense novel. OK but not brilliant in terms of plot, theme or wriiting. More of a feel good novel where the morally responsible lawyer finds quasi justice.

  • Lots of twists

I enjoyed this book, in particular how the author kept adding layer after layer of evidence peaking my interest until the end,. Good read,.
