  • Sweetest story to date

I received a copy from BookSprout; this is my honest review -Definition of a kiss: "... a first-time meeting of two souls as their breaths exchanged with one another". That is so romantic! -Please check what a saying means: "A bird eats more than you have this eve" - Of course a bird did! A bird eats, on average, 1/2 his weight per day. -Just because you thought he was someone else doesn't mean you can't put that aside with your pride and start talking to people, including him; Several days in your chamber because you were humiliated? A bit much, no? You actually brought it on yourself. -I thought Garrick was a really nice man, attentive and caring too. Coira was mostly prickly and easy to offend. -The author should remember that Coira "knew most of what was said" about her cousin wasn't true. Now she's afraid of him because of his reputation? I don't think so. -Editing was better in this book than any I read so far. I did find: Rolf vs. Rolfe. -I think this story is the sweetest to date, with a bit of supernatural.

  • Sealing Their Love

Lady Coira Norwood spent her youth traveling with and caring for her grandfather until his death. So now that she is older, it will be more difficult to find a husband for her. With her brother also dead, she is sent to Berwyck Castle so that her cousin, Lord Dristan, can find the right gentleman for her. But she would love for his choice to be Garrick, whom she assumed was a Knight! Garrick from Clan MacLaren is their piper, even though he has been training with one of the Knights of Berwyck. When he sees Lady Coira across the training field, he would dearly love to be chosen as her husband, but he is sure a lady such as this one would never want him. There may be some obstacles and misunderstanding, and even a supernatural visitor to encourage his sister to go ahead and love the man who loves her, but will Coira and Garrick forgive their mistake and realize they were meant for each other? Will they find a HEA together? This was a delightful story with wonderful characters, humor, and love. Grab your copy and enjoy a well-told story that will make you smile and believe in love.

  • What a Treat!

A trip to Berwyck Castle is always a treat and this time it's full of mistake identity. A superbly written story of love at first sight that leads to lots of misunderstandings; a hero happy (although a tad unsatisfied) with his place within Berwyck's walls; and a heroine resigned to remain a maiden. I am always thrilled when I get another Sherry Ewing story and this one did not disappoint!

  • Wonderful

This is a sweet novella that will warm your heart. If you have read Sherry’s books this story will fall right into place. But this is fine as a stand alone. Lady Coria has spent many years traveling with and taken care of her grandfather so has had no opportunity for courtship. After he is gone she travels to Berwyck Castle to stay with the Laird and his wife. Unexpectedly, she meets Garrick, a knight ( or so she thinks!) and they have an instant attraction. But misunderstandings and ghostly sightings might hold them apart. Can they find love and be happy? As with all of Ms Ewing’s stories you will be enchanted until the last page!

  • Instalove and An Abrupt End

I love a well-written Scottish medieval romance, especially one that takes place before the time of The Bruce. Far too many romance authors love to write books about that rather short period of Scottish history. This particular book takes place some 200 years before that. Unfortunately, the book had poor pacing and lacked a true romantic arc. This is love at first sight, which I never find believable in a book. Or the author could write it that way but should back it up with more depth and understanding as the couple gets to know each other. Instead, it was instant on both sides, and they remained steadfast (with brief bobbles) throughout the book. The author was not convincing in showing them feeling so much for each other so fast. The book also ended very abruptly. Things barely got worked out, and—boom—it was over. All in all, I found myself disappointed in this book. I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
