    excellent

Very well written and although not a "page turner", it was a genuine depiction of the war days in Germany entwined with enough romance and issues of the heart to keep one drawn into the story. A very good read.

    Incredibly told

This story is so well told down to all the little things we all feel as humans but that are so often missed in the quest for prose.

    Best book ever

As n avid reader, I can say without queston this is honestly the best book I have ever read. I am offically a die hard Ellen Marie Wiseman fan. She writes with a true heart and grace. Can't wait for the next book.

    The Plum Tree

The story provides insight into the ongoing struggles of the German people during World War II and makes you realize the impact that war has on those people affected on both sides of the conflict.

    The Plum Tree

A real eye opener on the life of both German and Jewish people during WWII...it is not often we hear of the experiences of the German citizens at this time; also the further chaos following the Nazi defeat from the German people's point of view. Very well written with new pieces of information continually being introduced. A good read...I wondered what it looked like from the French, Russian, Canadian and English points of view.
