    A "Must" Read

This book is like an amusement park of twists, turns and emotional ups and downs. It starts out giving an incredibly detailed description of the main setting, immersing you until you can almost see the beautiful scenery and smell the fresh Nova Scotian air for yourself. Once you have been fully immersed you are introduced to a brilliant array of characters beginning with the main character, Portia. These characters are all so incredibly real, relate-able and love-able, each having their quirks and manor isms. The story starts out following the lives of employees at a complex, museum and The Sullivan Homestead, a mysterious and quaint old home once inhabited by the Sullivan family. As the story unfolds it turns out that there is more to the old house than meets the eye. The story continues to pull you in with tons of suspense and mystery while the entire time immersing you into the lives, relationships and histories of these characters until you feel that you are part of the group. After the first couple of chapters these are no longer characters but people you have come to know and love. I won't give away any details but as the story plays on, a darkness falls over the lives of these 5 and a dark secret is brought to light. What begins as a very serene and heartwarming story of 5 regular, down to earth and love-able characters turns into a hellish nightmare leaving them in a fight for their lives and the souls of innocents slain before their time. If you are going to immerse yourself in a book in the near future, make that book "The Privateers Secret". I have already read this book once and am now beginning the adventure once again. Happy reading...
