  • The plot was good

The plot was good. The characters could have been a little better developed. The annoying part was the errors. You don't build a casino with 24 light poles in the parking lot and a long driveway on two acres of land. You don't weld with a torch. Ten moons is ten months, not ten days. Chaperone has an e on the end. Your ≠ you're.

  • Loved it!

I really like Susan Slater's way of describing Native American traditions and the New Mexico pueblo life. Ben Pecos is a caring and sympathetic character, and the plot has a lot of twists and turns. I think this will be a wonderful series!

  • I loved it.

The mystery was intrieging while letting the reader in on some interesting beliefs of this Nation. It moved along at just the right pace giving this reader a glimse into a slower life style than my own peoples.

  • Inconsistent but a good yarn

An interesting tale of corruption swirling around a great cast of actors in a pueblo near Albuquerque. But too many neat coincidences and lucky guesses and I am always disappointed at trivial errors: a sliver of moon can never rise at sunset. So, what could be a great story filled with adventure and intrigue... is just a story.
