  • The Queen's s Secret

This is a light read about the queen mum as she was called. It describes her life during WW 11 with King George the sixth. The book describes her as the supportive influence she had to become behind a very insecure man. She was in the right place at the right time.

  • Disappointing

It's always interesting to get an 'inside glimpse' on historical events but I found the author's 'voice' given to Queen Elizabeth to be irritating and the constant mention of 'the secret' tiresome.

  • Interesting but not well written

I enjoyed the story, and the very interesting details around life in England during the war, however, I felt this book would have benefited from a professional editor or proofreader. Some sentences had to be read several times to understand their meaning. Overall, I felt it wasn’t all that well written, but the story was interesting enough that I finished the book.

  • The queens Secret

Dismal repetitive facts, a few glimpses of a wise women, Yet each chapter repeats the same hatred of someone who should of been charged for sexual assault. If she was so upstanding and moral she would of made peace with her past love . I don't believe this is close to a portray of the Queen Mom. Waste of money
