  • At first, this book drew me in with its wonderful premise and engrossing, beautiful writing style. The concept of the book virus - altering the prose - was enticing and original, and the background of the Rabbit Back literature society likewise intriguing. However, the pacing seemed a bit off, and the story asked many more questions than it answered, concluding in a manner that was, alas, rather inconclusive and left me feeling faintly puzzled. I did enjoy it, as it had the elements of several books I have loved namely: The Shadow of the Wind and The Thirteenth Tale, but alas it lacked the deeply compelling and satisfactory ending that those tales offered.

    Thanks for your feedback!
