    The Raven

When I started to read this book I didn't think it was for me but around the third chapter until I finished the book it was very difficult to put down. Well written and although different to what I normally choose I would read more of Sylvain Reynard's books.

    The new Renaissance

Sylvain Reynard has the unparalleled ability to move from excellent Historical Romance to Paranormal Romance and maintain his readership by drawing in characters from his first successful series, in the shift he has managed to give credence to his new series. Cleverly writing the short Novella The Prince as an introduction to the main character who was also referenced in the end of the Gabriel series has given Sylvain 5 star for plot and continuity and as a result a successful transition into this genre has been made. The book and future series offers magnificent views of Florence, wonderful historical characters, in depth research into the period in which he writes and passionate love, often a tear-jerker but is that not what we are here for in the first place? Sylvain Reynard has a passion for the Reinaissance, Poetry and a solid background into Classical Literature which he imbibes us with through his masterful talent as an author.
