  • new in a sseries

This story takes place in two different periods, the first is the college years and then 6 years later in the aftermath, after college. It is sort of a love triangle but very slightly I guess. The girl in question is Eden and she had a crush on Alex in college when she meets Holt. Holt and her have a one night of connection when the next day she pretends it didn't happen and she ends up dating Alex for several years before they break up. The main story picks up 6 years later and her and Alex is history, but now Eden has a hockey team she needs to turn into a winning team and Alex is part of that team. She ends up hiring Holt as security for her as the team manager an so the connection is still there. However its very much a forbidden romance as she feels the world would look down on her dating Holt. But these two have an extremely strong connection, more so now as adults. It was a fun story and I liked Holt and Eden a lot. I enjoyed watching them flirt and circle each other and their shenanigans. I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Absolutely Amazing Book

This is book one in The Looking to Score Series as it is Holt and Eden's story and omg what an amazing start to a new series. Holt and Eden had a one night stand years ago but now fast forward and they meet again but they both have baggage but the connection and between them is so hot and instant that you can feel it sizzling of the pages and it can't be denied by either of them but will they give into it or keep there distance from each other as much as possible. Omg I couldn't put this book down and I also couldn't turn the pages fast enough to see what would happen next between them and you are not disappointed by the outcome. The characters and storyline pulled you in right from the first page and it was so addictive which is just what you would expect by Kendall Ryan who is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention. I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her anyd you will definitely not be disappointed. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Entertaining

4.5 Star Review The Rebel (Looking To Score #1) by Kendall Ryan   Having recently read the prequel One Night With The Rebel, I couldn’t wait to read The Rebel as I was intrigued by Eden Wynn and Holt Rossi’s initial story and was anxious to see what Kendall Ryan had in store for them. Eden is in need of security after recently taking over as the owner of the Boston Titans hockey team and team management feel that it would be a good idea to get security as her ownership has caused some uproar. Meeting the owner of the security company, she comes face to face with Holt, a man she walked away from six years ago. They both have baggage and yet the attraction that was there, is still sizzling beneath the surface. Add in that her ex is now playing on her team and issues are sure to arise. Now Holt is handling security for Eden, they are constantly in each others company. Despite themselves they are drawn into a relationship which if it comes to light will cause complications for both of them. I really love Holt, a totally swoon worthy man who has had a hard life, but has made a success of his life. Eden was much easier to relate to in this book and I felt that they made a great couple. I enjoyed the journey that they travelled to get to their happily ever after and Kendall Ryan even managed to turn my opinion of Eden’s ex Alex around which was a surprise. The love was based on a solid friendship and the members of the team who showed them such support added to my enjoyment.

  • Awesome second chance romance!

The Rebel is a second chance romance that I was definitely looking forward to! It did not disappoint! Eden Wynn spent one night with Colt Rossi six years ago and made the wrong decision when she fled the next morning never speaking to him again. Fast forward, and now she has the opportunity to right the mistake that she knows she made when she becomes the first female owner of a professional hockey team following her grandfather's death and Colt becomes the head of security. Neither Colt or Eden ever forgot the night they spent together, but neither of them ever thought they would get the opportunity to be together. Eden had been in another high-profile relationship that kept her on Colt's radar even if he didn't want her to be there. Now that Colt is technically Eden's employee, can they really take a chance on being together? I enjoyed this romance so much. Colt was an amazing hero who was loving, protective and all around swoony. Eden was a strong female lead and I liked that she didn't back down when she very easily could have in a few situations. They both were dealing with things from their pasts as well, which added another layer to the story. I'm really excited to see where the rest of this series goes given we've already been set up for the upcoming second book in the series!

  • Second chance at Love

I enjoyed this book about Eden and Holt. In Collage, Eden has her eyes on Alex, and he has other women on his mind. Enter Holt who spies her spying on Alex. When she hangs with him, she discovers a connection is there. Only Eden leaves while he is sleeping and ends up with Alex a few months later. Years later, Eden and Alex are over and Eden is trying to build up her new hockey team she inherited from her grandfather. When she gets threats they hire her extra security. You guessed it, Holt is the new security. I enjoyed that neither of them ever forgot the other and their chemistry is still there. Holt has some insecurities because of his past. So he wants to go slow and make sure they are ready for the next step. Plus he still feels some heartbreak over the past.
