  • Justice is back and kicking butt!

Was very excited to start this new series featuring Sara Wilde and the Arcana council. Different pace, focussed on magic users rather than artifacts but contains all the key characters we have come to love from the Immortal Vegas series. Loved reading about Sara facing all those new job challenges and finding her new place as an Immortal on the Arcana Council. Great mystery aspect to it and immediately had to read it again to see if I had missed clues to the villain the first time through! Keeps you guessing and wondering until the very end! I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher. This doesn't affect the content of my review.

  • Read the previous series first.

I like the concept, but I found the story quite confusing, especially since I don't know the tarot deck, which is the mainstay of the story. The setting in Venice was good, but I found the plot overly complex and I believe that this series is a follow up to another series, and without having read the first series, it doesn't really work as a standalone novel.

  • The Red King

The new Justice of the Arcana is back with a bang. This is a great start to Ms. Stark's new series which features Sara Wilde. If you loved the previous series, you're going to love this one too! Sara is back with the rest of the gang, this time focusing on her new job as Justice. This book takes us across the world to Venice, and you totally feel like you are there. Old characters such as Nikki are back as well as the Magician as well as the introduction to some new characters. It is going to be interesting to see how Sara takes on her new job as Justice as well as what new twists and turns are going to crop up and I can't wait! I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher. This doesn't affect the content of my review.

  • Awesome beginning for the series

What a wonderful start to a new series. Wilde has a new position and if the learning curve doesn't get her there are plenty of things in line for her to worry about. Venice is the place to be during carnival and if she can catch the Red King she may save lives as well. There's plenty of action and twist as she investigates, learns about her powers, gets history lesson and tries to stay alive. Nikki is amazing and love the two of them together. This is a great story and I love everything about it and can't wait for more.
