    Drama and manipulation

Unsuspecting school teacher Gwen Deveraux finds herself invited to the home of David Davenport, ostensibly to save her from spending the holidays on her own after the death of her parents. Little does Gwen realise but she is about to become a pawn in the games played by the rich and the famous. On the surface of things, David is a charming gentleman, but when his Machiavellian manipulations are unleashed on her, Gwen is horrified to find herself the victim in his game of chance. On the other hand, Gwen knows that Blake is a playboy and the black sheep of the family but when he exposes David's plot and his feelings for Gwen, she is thrown completely off balance. While there was drama aplenty in this story, it wasn't completely believable and I found that the extended passages of bedroom scenes and flirting with heavy innuendos slowed the story down significantly and whilst building the relationship between Gwen and Blake, did become a bit superfluous after a while. There weren't any obvious typos and language flowed smoothly which is always a benefit. The book is also a standalone and can be read quite quickly. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review.

    Interesting

I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review."  at the end of your review. David and Blake Davenport was brothers, one smart, talented and inspiring the other one is manipulative, self-centered and dangerous. Gwen Deveraux is a school teacher used in a scheme for David's dangerous and secrets mission to threaten his ex-wife. Will the scheme work? The story was interesting with great characters and the additional plot twist was amusing. This is my first time reading a book by the author and look forward to reading another one.

    Not bad for a debut

This wasn't bad for a debut. Gwen find herself in the middle of two brothers - one scheming and one helpful. This has a HEA, but I admit to finding the characters quite frustrating. I wish Blake had just told her what was going on earlier, loyalty be damned when it came to ruining someone else's life. I received a copy of this book from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.
