    Romantic Comedy

Romance author Kelsey Spencer was in Vegas along with everyone else for the romance convention. If you wanted to break into the industry, the Comic Con of the romance genre was definitely the place to do it. She loved sitting at a signing hearing as one reader after another gushed about how the books made them feel, but she knew it was all a fantasy. That kind of love didn't really exist. Aaron Grant flew to Vegas to rescue his little sister Jasmine from doing something stupid, something she'd regret the rest of her life. They both worked for their father's company and if she didn't return to work before Monday, their father would fire her! Jasmine came to Vegas for the romance convention to see her favorite writers, one specifically being Kelsey F***ing Spencer (as she named her), to get her book signed, and blow off some steam. Kelsey and Aaron end up running around Vegas trying to keep Jasmine from marrying Reid one of the book cover models. While doing this, they end up hooking up, you know the saying "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!" But does that motto really ring true? Can what they feel not follow them back home to Texas? Also are they successful in stopping Jasmine? You'll have to read THE RIGHT KIND OF GUY to find out. This romantic comedy is a quick read, but a definite must read! It'll have you laughing as well as shaking your head at some of the antics that happen. I received an ARC copy via Tasty Book Tours through NetGalley in exchange for a blog tour review. Due to sexual situations, this book is recommended for readers 17 and older!

    Fun read

The Vegas Romance Writers convention comes to a close with a witty tongue in cheek story of a romance writer, Kelsey Spencer, who wants to go into a different direction with her writing and super sexy brother of her biggest fan. Kelsey meets Aaron Grant as he dogs his sister at the convention trying to keep her from making a huge mistake. The hilarious banter and jabs at the industry itself make this one very entertaining read. Their chemistry is off the charts and while they make fun of the "insta-love" found in romance novels, they themselves are caught up in a whirlwind romance. This one was fun to read and it kept me chuckling all the way through. Definitely a book I recommend to everyone.

    Fun and Sexy Read

Wow this was great! I loved the humor, sexual chemistry, and the romance. Once you start reading this book you will not want to put it down. "The Right Kind of Guy" by Kerri-Leigh Grady is part of the "What Happens in Vegas" series. This is romance novelist Kelsey Spencer and Aaron Grant's story. Kelsey is attending a romance readers convention in Las Vegas. Her heart is just not into writing romance novels anymore. Kelsey doesn't believe in romance. Aaron's sister, Jasmine aka "Jas", is a big fan of Kelsey's romance novels. Due to Jas' adventures in Las Vegas, Aaron and Kelsey end up spending a lot of time together. Will they be able to ignore the intense chemistry between them? Will they finally believe in romance and a happily ever after? I fell in love with Aaron and Kelsey's characters. Aaron and Kelsey are perfect for each other. They were a lot of fun. Jas' character was a mess. I hope there is another book where Jas gets her happily ever after. I look forward to reading other books by Kerri-Leigh Grady. FYI, includes mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

    Loved

I really enjoyed this book - it's contemporary romance that is engaging and fun. Even better, the author has allowed the characters to poke fun at the genre while simultaneously drawing you into her romantic tale. If f-bombs disturb you, you might want to pass this one by, but if they don't, you will laugh at some of the antics while hoping for a HEA. The author has also used what might be my new favorite word: alphahole. Initially, I wanted to credit her for its creation, but a brief Google search ruled that out. It is a perfect word that I just love and that she sprinkled liberally throughout the novel. This book made me smile and care about the characters. I can't wait to see what the author creates next and I have added her to my must read authors' list.

    ....hysterically tempting pleasure.

Romance is the underdog of literary fiction. Many may not take the genre seriously, but the evidence doesn't lie, it's a juggernaut. Part of the reason why is because of the ability it has to branch out into other genres and deliver charming and mysterious characters Another reason is because the authors have no problem with making light of themselves. The Right Kind of Guy is the perfect prototype for romance. The cynical heroine brings humour to balance out the overly serious hero. A Vegas romance conference and an over the top romantic adventure make for hysterically tempting pleasure.
