    Vintage but not necessarily classic

These are tales from 1950s America. They show their age- which is not necessarily a bad thing. There are perhaps 5 superbly crafted SF stories that will always rate a read. The rest are of variable quality. This collection would be of most interest to the specialist reader with an established interest in tales from the epoch in which they were written.

    Good.

Exactly what it says it is old stories about one topic. Very enjoyable and informative.

    A Good Read

As an avid fan of the sci-fi short story, I have nothing but good to say about this collection of quality pulp!

    Imagination Inc

I liked this anthology of SF covering a period of forty to fifty years. Most of the older stories were humorous and geared to the solution of problems: the more recent offerings were issue related at heart and of a more serious vein. Overall, the mix was imaginative, speculative and provided the reader with a potted history of the evolution of SF from its restrained pulp origins to the free-wheeling, free-style beast it is today. There are a lot of hidden gems in here - PK Dick's story and that of R Lupoff are outstanding examples.

    Mixed

Some stories are good, some just Flat these are short stories, so many times not much space to develop characters, or intricate plots.
