    Fantastic

One of my many favourites of Stephen King's works. A psychological thrill ride guided by supernatural machinations that will cause you jump at things that bump in the night and then chuckle at how silly you are. This book is an essential King masterpiece. Just turn off the lights, tap on the icon and Shine on.

Loved my reread of this riveting novel

Stephen King is really my most favourite author in how he is able to bring you inside the minds of the characters and spin out a nightmare story that that reels you in until the last page, and leaves you wanting more - which you can have with Doctor Sleep.

    Masterful

Stephen King doesn't get the credit he deserves as a writer. He gets dismissed as a horror writer but he is so much more than that. His descriptions are so clean and clear and such an integral part of the story. His suspense builds slowly, painfully climaxing in incredible symphony. Just masterful.

    The shining

I had actually not seen the movie and was happy to have read the book. Some long winded Steven Kingish chapters but really good. No matter the hotel, I will never stay in room 217....
