    Exciting & Thrilling

A fun, exciting, fast read. Loved the characters, especially the lead heroine, Ember. She's confident, able-bodied & big hearted. Looking forward to the next book!

Excellent Series Debut - Fae, Witches, Vampires, Shifters, Gods, and more.

If you love urban fantasy or paranormal romance or you are just curious about the genre, The Silver Stag is a great place to start. Any Yasmine Galenorn novel would be a good starting point honestly. Though I would recommend reading any of her series starting with the first book to get the most out of it. The Silver Stag takes place primarily in Seattle and surrounding areas in a world very close to our own, except things beings like witches, vampires, fae, shifters, gods, and many other magical or supernatural beings exists openly alongside humans. Kerris, the main character, is half light fae and half dark fae, the two sides being at war. Needless to say, neither of the fae courts accept Kerris so she has to make her own way. Something happens that dramatically changes the lives of Kerris and her best friend. They soon discover that even in their world, secrets are still not in short supply. Fate may very well be taking the reins here. Reading the first book made me want not only to see what happened next in it, but to see what was in store in the next book on the series. I would recommend this series, starting with this debut. I don't like to give spoilers but I will say that one of my favourite characters is a cat with a funny name and winning personality. A great cat seems to be a staple of Yasmine Galenorn's books and I think it's fantastic.
